Apply for a Scholarship
Familias Latinas offers three types of scholarships to our Latino/x community. Our scholarship applications for 2024 are now live! Click on the apply button below:
Need-Based Scholarship
Supports families who are trying to meet their basic needs - housing, food, transportation, childcare, etc... We know how stressful it is to be in these situations and we want to help lessen the burden, while we help connect you with community resources.
Latino/x Empowerment Scholarship
Gives students access to learning opportunities such as attending a class or workshop, going to a camp, or accessing tutoring. Children grow and develop as they are exposed to different opportunities and we want our community to have access to
these resources.
Latino/x Scholar Award
Acknowledges the hard work and achievement of our Latino/a/x high school seniors. We want to support our students as they prepare for their next chapter.

¡Hola Familias Latinas! My name is Frank Castillo and I am one of the winners of the scholarship for Familias Latinas. I plan to attend Cal Poly Pomona for college with the help of this scholarship. Jeza Espino
I plan to attend Santa Ana College for the Summer of 2024, then transfer to Contra Costa College. My major is Criminal Justice. Once I graduate from community college, my plan is to transfer to a four year college to earn a Bachelor’s degree. My ultimate goal is to attend UC Irvine or Penn state. Once I earn my degree, I would like to work in law enforcement or engineering.
Isaiah Peetom

Hola Familias Latinas de Albany! My name is Isaiah Peetoom, and I want to express my gratitude to everyone at Familias Latinas de Albany for the Latino Scholar Award. Winning this scholarship means the world to me because college can be really expensive, and it brings me a sense of relief knowing that I won't have to worry as much about paying for things like textbooks and other supplies for my classes. I'm planning to pursue my associate's degree in Math at Skyline College and then transfer to San José State University for Mechanical Engineering. Ultimately, I hope to build a career in either the automotive or manufacturing industry.
